Tim Arey
Founder
As the founder of Arey Properties, Tim built a start-up development company into a successful real estate development firm that has completed hundreds of projects throughout both Carolinas. Over the last 40 years, Tim has developed a diverse skill-set that ranges from identification of potential opportunities to acquisition, design, permitting and construction of those properties, all the way through to the final stage of managing and exiting those assets.
Arey Properties has established a reputation for quality and integrity in all their projects. Tim’s primary focus has been on building long-term relationships with his partners, clients and the communities they serve. His projects include a wide array of property types, including multifamily, office, retail and a significant focus on subdivision development.
Tim is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his professional affiliations include the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors and the Cabarrus County Building Industry Association. He holds a North Carolina general contractor license and is a licensed broker in both North and South Carolina.
He is an avid sportsman and regular volunteer to numerous church-supported organizations and serves on the board of Cooperative Christian Ministries in Cabarrus County.
Wes Shull
Partner
Wes Shull joined Arey Properties in 2021. In his time at Arey Properties, Wes’ primary focus has been on land development, entitlement and fee development.
Wes has extensive experience in corporate strategy, M&A and management. He was Vice President at EnPro Industries, managing a $75M EBITDA division serving global aerospace, defense, semiconductor and nuclear markets. Before that, he worked in private equity at Carousel Capital Partners, focusing on investment strategy and portfolio management and as a Senior Analyst at McColl Partners, specializing in M&A.
Wes received a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Vincent Arey
Partner
Vincent Arey joined Arey Properties in 2018. In his time at Arey Properties, his responsibilities have ranged from leading the commercial construction division to property management to brokerage. Vincent is a licensed broker in North Carolina.
Previously, Vincent worked with a real estate private equity group in New York, NY, where his duties included underwriting acquisition target properties; management of property portfolios for high-net-worth individuals and their families; and preparation of offering memorandums for investors.
Vincent received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in New York, NY.
